And so, our story begins.Â
In the heart of Northern Italy, amidst a vibrant culinary landscape, Tomas Jizhar envisioned something more. In the 1960s, he laid the foundation for MODENA, a small workshop crafting freestanding cookers. Drawing inspiration from the region's rich gastronomic heritage, MODENA quickly earned a loyal following, becoming synonymous with quality and craftsmanship.
1970s
From kitchen to home.
With each satisfied customer, MODENA’s presence in the market grew stronger. This growing trust and demand inspired the company to paved the way for a bold new venture: the introduction of washing machines. This marked a significant expansion, taking MODENA beyond the kitchen and into the heart of the home.
1980s
A global vision takes shape.Â
With Tomas Jizhar now fully at the helm, MODENA’s vision began to take on a truly global dimension. Recognizing the dynamism and potential of the Asian market, he made the strategic decision to move operations there. This bold move, along with a shift to a business-to-many (B2M) strategy, laid the groundwork for significant expansion and solidified MODENA's global ambitions.
1990s
The beginning of a focus on making life easier.
With a strong heritage in manufacturing, MODENA began to see the home as its canvas, envisioning a world where every space could be enhanced. This vision led to the development of a wide range of products, all in service of its core mission: making life easier and better.
2000s
Bringing the smart home to life.
Sensing a shift towards smart living, MODENA embarked on a journey to connect more directly with the modern consumer. This led to the development of exciting new products and a significant expansion of direct-to-consumer channels, bringing the future of home living directly to people's doorsteps.
2010s
Smart technology meets professional solutions.
MODENA continued to innovate within its smart living ecosystem, incorporating energy-efficient inverters and remote control functionalities into its product lines. This focus on advanced technology was mirrored by the launch of MODENA Professional, a dedicated division created to empower businesses in the food and beverage industry with specialized equipment and solutions.
2020s
Powering a greener, more interconnected world.
As the world increasingly turned its attention to sustainability, MODENA responded with a vision of an interconnected and eco-conscious future.Â
This vision materialized in the creation of MODENA Energy, providing renewable solar solutions. Further expanding its horizons, MODENA also entered the Mobility sector with advanced battery systems. And to seamlessly integrate these advancements, MODENA Seamless IoT was launched, putting the power of control directly into the hands of users, empowering them to shape their own sustainable future.
