One of our partner smart factories has successfully automated 90% of their assembly line for our Cooking products, allowing their workers to focus on duties that matter – quality control. This achievement optimizes workflows by reducing error rates by 92%, while maintaining the superior craftsmanship that MODENA is known for.
Building a safe working environment is high on our list of priorities. We join forces with our partners to make safety top-of-mind across our supply chain. International and regional safety standards, as well as risk management efforts, are fully integrated into our standard procedures. Though potential hazards vary over time, our approach toward workplace safety is always updated to comply with the latest regulatory needs.
In 2019, we took swift safety measures as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Regular disinfection, hand-washing stations, and easy access to tests were made mandatory at all our facilities. The effort extended to floor plan re-arrangement in our warehouse for effective social distancing. These initiatives helped reduce viral transmission risks and retain the well-being of our people.

A 24/7 line has also been set up to ensure easier international communication between our partners and Head Office. Eco-driven supply chain management reinforces our goal of reaching carbon neutrality by 2035. Since 2021, all our core facilities have made the switch to solar energy, powered by our very own SolarPad and PowerTube system. Innovations in production and logistics involving IoT also increase efficiency, while reducing energy and material waste. To keep all processes in check, our end-to-end standard operating procedures are designed to minimize the environmental impacts of our operations. Today, we maximize our efforts on operating all business aspects sustainably – with our Earth in mind.
The more in sync our actions are, the more positive environmental impacts we can achieve. To ensure everyone within our supply chain are on board, we provide support in the form of sustainability training for our partners, as well as additional resources and on-site support. These efforts attempt to normalize zero-waste behavior and compliance with regional environmental standards.
We are always on the look out for greener ways to improve our global operations. One way we've done this is by shifting our sourcing towards recycled materials. Today, almost all of the plastic components in our products are recycled, with plans to make our production practices even more sustainable.
