Caring for Your Grill Plate: A Step-by-Step Guide

Having the perfect BBQ comes down to more than just quality ingredients; it also requires a well-maintained grill plate. Regular cleaning and maintenance are key to achieving that finger-lickin' flavor. By following these simple tips, you can keep your grill plate in prime condition and enjoy delicious barbecues for years to come.

Clean immediately after-use

Once you've finished grilling a scrumptious meal, don't forget to clean your grill plate. Let it cool down before wiping it down with a soft, dry cloth. To get rid of any unwanted odors and grease, mix up some salt water and give the plate a quick soak before washing it.

Wash it with warm soapy water

Simply mix a bowl of warm, soapy water and use a sponge to scrub away any dirt and grime. If there are any tough stains, use a brush to carefully remove them. Make sure to dry the plate fully after washing, using a tissue or dry cloth.

Season the grill plate

Taking a few extra steps to season your grill plate can help ensure that mold and rust don't build up on it. To begin, preheat the plate on the stove for five minutes until it is completely dry. Then, coat the entire surface with oil and use a kitchen towel or dry cloth to evenly spread it out.

Regular maintenance

Constructed from cast-iron, our grill plate can last for years with proper care. To keep your grill plate in great shape, it's best to hang it up when not in use and give it a good scrubbing at least once a month.
